Mindful Moments of Empowerment

As part of our focus on the Prevention aspect of discipline, one of the tools we are teaching the students is how to be mindful and aware of how our emotions affect our actions. By teaching them awareness of self and tools to utilize when stress and anxiety creeps in, they are better able to monitor their reactions to stimuli in their environment and make a better choice.

We recently partnered with Dr. Jaena from Simple Balance in Elgin and she has created an initial plan to begin this process. A copy of our plan is included below.
