Mrs. Kathy Jones-5th/6th Combined/Math 5-8
My name is Kathy Jones and I currently teach the 5th/6th grade combined classroom, as well as middle school and junior high math. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor Degree in education and have been teaching at St. Laurence since 1997. My teaching experience has been quite diverse, including 3rd grade, 4th grade, kindergarten, and I even spent my first 3 years at St. Laurence teaching P.E.! I feel very fortunate that all of my experience has been in Catholic education. The Catholic school environment, especially at St. Laurence, is family-centered and welcoming.
My husband, Bob, and I have been married for 30 years and have been St. Laurence parishioners since 1993. We have 3 wonderful sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and as of December 1, 2016, our first grandchild! All of our sons attended St. Laurence and graduated from St. Edward Central Catholic High School. I truly believe their lives today are a testament to the value that the foundation of a Catholic education provides.
My favorite hobby would be spending time with family and friends. This occupies most of my free time. I also enjoy traveling, gardening, music, and art.
